New Walk-In Service for Mental Health Crisis Support

A 24/7 walk-in service is now available for Harrow residents experiencing a mental health crisis.

We are pleased to share important news about a new Mental Health Crisis Assessment Service (MHCAS) launched by Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL). From 27th January 2025, individuals experiencing a mental health crisis can visit this 24/7 walk-in service at St Charles Hospital in Kensington and Chelsea.

This service provides a calm, therapeutic alternative to visiting an emergency department. Anyone aged 18 or over living in Harrow, Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster, Brent, or Hillingdon can access support.

What to Expect at MHCAS?

✅ A safe, welcoming environment for mental health support
✅ A specialist nurse will assess you shortly after arrival
✅ Access to hot drinks, food, and a quiet space
✅ Referral to psychological therapies or voluntary sector services if needed

If you or someone you know is struggling, you can visit MHCAS for immediate in-person support.
