Mind in Harrow Opens Centre for Warmth

Mind in Harrow has partnered with Cadent and Harrow Giving to create a Centre for Warmth, providing support to those living with mental health conditions and facing fuel poverty.

We are excited to announce the launch of Mind in Harrow’s Centre for Warmth, a new initiative aimed at supporting individuals with mental health conditions who are also experiencing fuel poverty. In partnership with Cadent and Harrow Giving, we will offer resources and assistance to help the local community stay warm this winter.

At the Centre for Warmth, you can join us for weekly coffee-time drop-in sessions where you’ll receive valuable information and advice on saving energy and maximizing your income. These sessions will also provide a great opportunity to connect with other residents over light refreshments, helping to build a sense of community.

In addition to the weekly drop-ins, we will host monthly cost-of-living workshops with guest speakers. These workshops will provide practical tips on managing energy costs and staying safe, including carbon monoxide safety advice and the distribution of carbon monoxide detectors, offered through our trusted advice partners.

Our Centre for Warmth opens on Thursday, 24th October 2024, from 11 am to 3 pm at our Mind in Harrow office located at:

Mind in Harrow
132 – 134 College Road
Harrow, Middlesex HA1 1BQ

If you’d like to learn more about the Centre for Warmth and how we can assist you, feel free to reach out to us at 020 8426 0929 or info@mindinharrow.org.uk.
